Amitabh Bachchan the Shahanshah of Bollywood is known for his dialogue delivery. His movies always manage to bring some extraordinary box-office numbers, but along with that, his dialogues have been helping us since long back to dramatise our everyday situations. Let us take a look at some of his iconic dialogues that have, and will live on for generations.

"Rishte mein toh hum tumhare baap lagte hain, naam hai Shahenshah"

The famous dialogue is from the 1988 release Shahenshah which features Amitabh Bachchan and Meenakshi Sheshadri in the lead roles. According to reports Jackie Shroff was to play the lead role if Amitabh Bachchan hadn't quit politics and come back to films. The movie was scheduled to release on February 12, 1988, but later the movie was released a day early.

"Is duniya mein tarakki karne ke liye ... na bolna bahut zaroori hai"

The dialogue is from the film Agneepath which stars Amitabh Bachchan along with Mithun Chakraborty, Madhavi, Neelam Kothari, Rohini Hattangadi and Danny Denzongpa. The movie is inspired by the poem of the same name which is a written by Harivansh Rai Bachchan. It was the first time when Amitabh and Danny shared the screen space for this film.

"Mujhe jo sahi lagta hai main karta hoon, fir chahe wo bhagwan ke khilaaf ho, kanoon ke khilaf ho ya pure system ke khilaaf

Sarkar, the political crime thriller drama is directed by Ram Gopal Verma. The film features Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan together for the first time. It also stars Kay Kay Menon, Katrina Kaif, Anupam Kher, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Supriya Pathak and Tanisha Mukherjee. The film was premièred at the New York Asian Film Festival and it was the comeback of Katrina Kaif after her debut Boom which was released in the year 2002.

"Meri history janta nahi hai tu, mere shareer me haddi kam taanke zyada hain"

The famous dialogue of Amitabh Bachchan is from the movie Department which also features Sanjay Dutt in the lead role. It is the Eighth film to feature Sanjay Dutt & Amitabh Bachchan together as leading roles. The song Thodi si jo pee li hai was a remake of Amitabh Bachchan and Kishore Kumar's classic hit of the same name from the 1982 movie Namak Halal.
