Amitabh Bachchan who was named Dadasaheb Phalke Award recipient for 2018 in September this year, completed 50 years in cinema. The actor penned a blog on how he is tired of answering the same questions in the interviews. He wrote, "They come to ask me on the Dada Saheb Phalke Award... how do you feel .. how has your journey been till today .. how have times changed .. which is your favourite film .. you have contributed so much and been an inspiration .. your thoughts .. you are largest social media contributor .. how do you select a role .. and on and on and on."
Bachchan wrote that there have been so many occasions where all these questions were asked in the past and wonders what does one say on such reward except, 'Of course I am grateful.' He wrote: "has there been any occasion when all this has not been spoken of before .. what does one say on such reward .. of course I ma grateful to the GOI , the Ministry of I&B for their consideration .. but I feel I am truly undeserving of such recognition .. I am thankful to them that provided the impetus to be in the field .. writers, makers and of course the audience .. mostly the audience .. for they have been affectionate to me."
He also explained that he cannot weigh one film against the other when thinking about which films are prominent for him, therefore, it is all. He said: "and on and on to subjects of questioning which I am not used to .. interviews from various quarters come but i tell them I am not doing any .. they think this is me being difficult .. really ..? No .. I am being sensible .. I have nothing to say .. and honestly do not believe in my words forming the contours of a print or social platform, when I have indeed my Ef for all that needs to be shared."
