Amitabh Bachchan is one of the legendary actors in the industry. He made his Bollywood debut in Saat Hindustani in 1969. The actor has been part of some of the most iconic Hindi movies like Sholay, Deewaar, Zanjeer, Don and many more. Besides Hindi films, he has been in many regional films too. Anusandhan
Anusandhan was the Bengali version of Hindi film Barsaat Ki Ek Raat. The movie was simultaneously shot in both the languages. It was the top-grossing Bengali film ever for several years. Directed by Shakti Samanta, the movie also stars Utpal Dutt, Amjad Khan and Raakhe. The story was an adaption of Shaktipada Raajguru’s novel Anusandhan.
Amruthadhare
Amitabh Bachchan played a cameo appearance as himself in the film. It was a Kannada film released in 2005. It was also dubbed in Telugu as Amrutha Varsham. The film also has a special social message for families.
Ganga
Directed by Abhishek Chhadha, it is a Bhojpuri film. Released in 2006, it marked the return of Amitabh Bachchan after his brief cameo in Bhojpuri cinema. The movie also stars Hema Malini, Nagma, Ravi Kishan and Manoj Tiwari. Amitabh played the role of Thakur Vijay Singh.
Kandahar
Malayalam language war film Kandahar was written and directed by Major Ravi. The star cast includes Amitabh Bachchan, Mohanlal, Ganesh Venkatraman and Sumalatha. Amitabh was seen as Lokanatha Sharma. It was one of the most-awaited films of the year but did not receive good word of mouth.
Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy
Amitabh Bachchan’s recent venture in region films was Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. It was a Telugu language film also dubbed in Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil. Amitabh played the role of Guru Gosayi Venkanna. The film also stars Chiranjeevi, Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Jagapathi Babu, Sudeep and Tamannaah Bhatia. It is a historical action drama film and received positive reviews from both the audience as well as critics.
