Anil Kapoor reviews Joaquin Phoenix's Joker using just one word
Anil Kapoor reviewed Joaquin Phoenix's much-celebrated venture 'Joker'. The actor who seems to very impressed by the film called it a 'masterpiece'.
The much-anticipated film 'Joker' featuring Joaquin Phoenix as the classic DC villain has finally hit the theaters on Wednesday, October 2. With a gripping storyline and intense performance of the actor, the Todd Phillips directorial has won the hearts of the audience. While people around the world can't stop praising 'Joker', joining the bandwagon was Bollywood star Anil Kapoor, who recently reviewed the film on Twitter. Anil Kapoor was impressed by Joaquin Phoenix's version of the Clown Prince, and called it a 'masterpiece'. The actor shared a still from the film on Twitter and wrote, "A masterpiece! Speechless."

'Joker' the movie
The Todd Phillips directorial tells the origin story of one of Batman's most notorious enemies, the Joker, the character that managed to mark its place in history with his iconic looks and witty dialogues. The American crime film follows the journey of Arthur, a struggling stand-up comedian, who eventually transforms into a full-blown criminal and a psychopathic murderer.
Other than Joaquin Phoenix, the film also stars Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy and Brett Cullen in the lead roles. The crime drama is the first film in a series of DC-based films separate from the shared DC Extended Universe (DCEU). It is jointly scripted by director Phillips and Scott Silver and is produced under the banner of Warner Bros. and DC Films.

Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor, who has completed more than four decades in the Indian film industry, has a number of films in the pipeline for release. The actor recently wrapped up shooting for Malang which is set to hit theatres on February 14, 2020. The film is helmed by Aashiqui 2 director Mohit Suri and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg, and Jay Shewakramani. This film marks the reunion of Mohit, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Bhushan after the success of Aashiqui 2 in 2013. Besides Anil Kapoor, Malang also stars Disha Patani and Kunal Kemmu, in the lead. This is the first time the four stars will be seen sharing screen space. Anil Kapoor will also be starring in Pagalpanti, Saade Saati, Takht and more.
