About the film
Hotel Mumbai stars Dev Patel as Arjun– a waiter at the Taj hotel. The trailer begins with him leaving his wife and kid to go to work. Star chef Hemant Oberoi, played by Anupam Kher, is in charge of the kitchen during the time of the attack. Kher says, “Here in the Taj, guest is God.” He takes charge of the situation as adversity strikes. Hotel Mumbai also features American actor Armie Hammer, known for his role in the American romantic drama Call Me By Your Name, as a guest at the Taj hotel along with Iranian-British actor, Nazanin Boniadi as his wife.
Actor Dev Patel, whose claim to fame is the 2008 film Slumdog Millionaire, plays the role of a Sikh hotel attendant at the Taj where the attacks take place.
