Anushka is on a break for a while from the silver screen. The actor marked her Bollywood a decade ago with Yash Raj directorial Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi opposite Shah Rukh Khan. She not only impressed the audience and the critics but also won several awards for the Best Debutant actor in the year 2008. Anushka Sharma was last seen in Anand L. Rai's Zero, which released in December 2018.
The Jab Tak Hai Jaan actor is not only a full-time actor but also a producer and an entrepreneur. She owns the production company Clean Slate Films in partnership with her brother Karnesh Sharma, which established in the year 2014. Reportedly her production house has produced three films that are NH10, Phillauri, and Pari. In the year 2017, she also launched Nush, a clothing line for women.
Reportedly, she never planned for making her career in the field of acting or cinema. According to reports of many media outlets, the Sultan actor was looking to make a career in modelling or journalism. Reports say she received a degree in arts from Mount Carmel College in Bangalore. Later in 2007 she started her modelling career and walked on the ramp for designer Wendell Rodricks. Reports also suggest that she shifted to Mumbai to move ahead in her modelling career. But ended up in auditioning for the films. The actor in a media interaction said that at that point of time she did not realize the significance of signing a film which will be directed and produced by one of the successful director and producer of the industry.
The 31-year-old actor is currently enjoying the break period with her husband Virat Kohli. Breaking the silence on the speculations of not doing movies, in an interview with a leading entertainment portal she said that she will resume her work back soon. It was just that right after her marriage in 2017 with Virat, she worked back to back for Sui Dhaaga: Made In India and Zero. Due to which she could not spend enough quality time with her husband.
