Asin Thottumkal has worked in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam films. She is a trained Bharathanatyam dancer. Asin made her Bollywood debut in Ghajini, alongside Aamir Khan. She played the role of Kalpana Shetty, a bubbly and loving girl. Her performance caught everyone’s attention and she also won Filmfare Best Debutant Actress Award. The movie was a blockbuster at the box office and created new records.

Ready

Directed by Anees Bazmee, the movie stars Salman Khan and Asin in the lead role. It was her third film and second with Salman, after London Dreams which failed at the box office. She was seen as Sanjana Singh, who is stuck between her two maternal goon Uncles. The comedy film was a hit at the box office and her character was loved by the audiences.

Housefull 2

Released in 2012, the movie was a sequel of hit comedy film Housefull. It was a multi-starrer film which includes Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Riteish Deshmukh, Shreyas Talpade, Asin, Jacqueline Fernandez, Zareen Khan and Shazahn Padamsee as lead pairs. Asin played Heena, an animal rights activist. Her chemistry with Akshay was adored by audiences. The movie was a hit at the box office.

Bol Bachchan

The movie stars Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, Asin and Prachi Desai in lead. Directed by  Rohit Shetty it was an action comedy film. Asin played the love interest of Ajay Devgn in the film. While the movie forced more on the male actors, she was loved every time she appeared on screen. It was a hit at the box office and marked Asin’s hattrick hits in Bollywood.

Khiladi 786
