Article 15 spoke about discrimination on the grounds of caste and sex in a crime-drama genre. Ayushmann plays a police officer in it who investigates on caste-based crimes. The actor's performance in the film was praised highly by the audience and critics alike. It was written and directed by Anubhav Sinha. As per reports, Article 15 was made on a budget of 30 crores.

Dream Girl 

Dream Girl marked the return of Ayushmann Khurrana to comedy after Article 15. The film is a romantic-comedy directed by Raaj Shaandiliyaa. The film has become Ayushmann's second-highest grosser at the box office by reportedly collecting 129 crores. Dream Girl stars actors like Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz and Nushrat Bharucha alongside Ayushmann. The film is still running strong at the cinemas.

What is next for Ayushmann?

Ayushmann will be next seen in Bala. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film will release on November 15, 2019. The film will revolve around the topic of premature baldness. It will feature Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar alongside Ayushmann. The teaser of the film dropped on August 26 and a trailer is reportedly scheduled to drop in mid-October. The question is, by having such a splendid start to the year, will 2019 prove to be the best year for Ayushmann with Bala? Only time will tell!
