Marjaavaan had quite a tumultuous release. The makers kept shifting its release date to avoid the film clashing with any other movie. The movie released just a week after the much-talked-about, Bala. Still, it seems to have affected Marjaavaan’s box office collection.
Bala Box Office collection
Released on November 8, 2019, the first week for Bala seemed to have been pretty good. It made a good ₹9 crores at the box office on its opening day. After that, Bala had crossed the ₹70 crores mark in India within just a week of its release. The second Saturday also collected a good ₹6.50 crores. Overall, for the second weekend, Bala collected ₹18.25 crores. Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has revealed that the Bala has already crossed the 100-crore mark worldwide. The movie is headed to cross the 100-crore mark in India as well pretty soon as speculated. Bala will then go on to become Ayushmann Khurrana’s third 100-crore film after Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho.
Marjaavaan Box Office collection
The Sidharth Malhotra starrer Marjaavaan had a decent opening on its first day, November 15, 2019. The revenge-drama opened at a good ₹7 crores at the box office. But business seemed slow on the second day. Despite being a weekend, Saturday saw just ₹7 crores again. But Marjaavaan reportedly picked up the pace on Sunday making ₹10 crores at the box office. The opening weekend thus seems to be pretty good with ₹23.50 crores. This was reportedly the best weekend collection of Sidharth Malhotra since Kapoor & Sons.

#MarjaavaanReview: Raise your hand if you think star-crossed romances filled with sacrificial lovers should be binned. Sidharth Malhotra thriller is a sloppy saga

Overdramatic dialogues and a cliched story works against this Milap Zaveri directorial. pic.twitter.com/NyWZwqNgx9
