Bala: Fifth day box office collection of the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer movie

Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Bala had a great run at the box office on the weekend. But this movie witnessed comparatively fewer earnings on Monday and Tuesday. Despite the slowdown, Bala successfully managed to cross ₹50 crore mark. Amar Kaushik, who has helmed this comedy flick, has previously churned out epic movies including Stree.

Box office collection

Bala, which stars Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar besides Ayushmann Khurana is on a roll these days. As per reports, the social comedy collected ₹10.15 crores on its opening day, ₹15.73 crores on Saturday and went on to making ₹18.07 crores on Sunday. Then Bala earned a total of ₹52.21 crores on Monday, according to the Box Office India.

Collection on the fifth day

Bala is strongly heading towards hitting the ₹100 crore club. On the occasion of Gurupurab, Bala earned ₹9.52 crores on this holiday, especially in north India. Backed by Maddock, this Ayushmann starrer film has still a stronghold over the audience and is expected to enter ₹75 crore club by this weekend.

The plot of the movie 

Bala is Khurrana’s seventh hit after his successful film Dream Girl alongside Nushrat Barucha. Set in the tier 2 cities of Lucknow and Kanpur, Bala revolves around a young man at a marriageable age who suffers from premature balding. This movie ends with a social message which is beautifully presented and does not distract from the main theme of the film. Bala strongly questions society’s perception of beauty.

Review of the movie

Bhumi portrays a dark-skinned girl Latika who is also a renowned lawyer. She is a strong personality who does not conform to society’s standards. Yami Gautam plays a beautiful lass who is a famous Tik Tok model or star. The makers have carefully touched the topics without hurting the sentiments of people. Bala has hilarious scenes and does not showcase even a single dull moment. Besides brilliant performances by the lead actors, Bala features critically acclaimed actors including Abhishek Banerjee, Jaaved Jaaferi, Sunita Rajwar, Seema Pahwa and Saurabh Shukla amongst others.
