Bala, the film, is time and again in the news for either its clash with a similar film Ujda Chaman or Bhumi Pednekar’s controversial portrayal of a dark-skinned girl. This time it is making the headlines for its new song, Pyar Toh Tha, featuring the lead actors Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam, and Bhumi Pednekar. The next song from the film is Pyar Toh Tha. The first two songs were either glamourous or party songs but Pyar Toh Tha is a soulful heartbreak song. Ayushmann mentioned in his post that the song depicts the pain of the reel-character Bala. In the teaser, he is seen whimpering and remembering the leading ladies Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam. The song’s promo shows Ayushmann Khurrana in a sad state. The song, which released on October 31, 2019, shows a series of break-up and separation snippets from the film. The ballad is sung by singers Jubin Nautiyal and Asees Kaur. The music is composed and written by Sachin-Jigar.
