Nepotism might have been one of the most talked-about topics in Bollywood in recent years, but that doesn’t mean that star kids won’t be entering the world of glitz. The most recent example was Chunky Panday’s daughter Ananya, who debuted with ‘Student of the Year 2.’ Among other star kids, Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana is being tipped for a launch in B-Town soon too. However, it has been revealed that 'SOTY 2' was not the first time Ananya faced the movie camera and Suhana too was with her then. The two star kids, known to be best friends, had worked as actors for the film ‘My Name is Khan.’ However, despite their excitement in acting in front of the camera, their sequence did not make it to the final cut.
In a recent interview, Ananya revealed that she and Suhana had gone to visit Shah Rukh Khan when he was shooting for ‘My Name is Khan’ in the USA. The actress then revealed that the director Karan Johar needed people to walk about in the background and he asked the duo, along with 10-odd people more, to be a part of the scene.
The teenagers were obviously excited and completed the walking part during the shoot in 7-8 takes and Ananya quipped that they even ‘overacted.’
They were also keen to watch how they looked on the big screen for the first time. However, they couldn’t find the scene in the movie as it eventually got cut from the movie. Ananya concluded that they were extremely upset over it, but added that it’d be a memory that they take back from the sets.
Meanwhile, Ananya’s ‘Student of the Year 2’ was a mixed bag, as it got divided reviews from audiences and critics. Though the movie earned over Rs 60 crore, it was considered way below expectations.
