Every year, many aspiring actors try their luck to make a successful career in the film industry. Some of them make their way to the hearts of the audience and the critics, whereas some of them fail to impress them. Here is the list of the top female actors who not only impressed the audience and the critics but also established themselves in Bollywood:

Yami Gautam

Yami Gautam, who earlier worked in South movies, made her debut in Bollywood alongside Ayushmann Khurrana with 2012's release Vicky Donor. She won several awards for her debut. After the critically and commercially successful film, she shared screen space with actors like Hrithik Roshan and Varun Dhawan, among others.

Shradhha Kapoor

Shraddha Kapoor marked her debut with the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Teen Patti, that had released in 2010. Though the film did not do wonders at the box office, she was praised for her role and earned instant popularity. She played the leading lady for the first time in 2011's release Luv Ka The End, which was a debacle at the box office. She is best known for her performances in films Aashiqui 2, Haider and Ek Villain among others. Shraddha was last seen in a multi-starrer comedy-drama Chhichhore.

Parineeti Chopra

Parineeti Chopra stole the limelight in Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh starrer Ladies vs Ricky Bahl. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Actor for the film in the year 2011. Later, she also bagged awards for her film Ishaqzaade released in 2012. Apart from her acting skills, she also flaunted her singing talent in films like Meri Pyaari Bindu and Kesari.

Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt started her acting career with Karan Johar's film Student of The Year, that released in 2012. She overnight became a household name after the release of the movie. Her performance in films like Highway, Udta Punjab and Raazi fetched her many awards. The Gully Boy actor, who was last seen in Kalank, will soon share the screen with Ranbir Kapoor and the megastar of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra.

Bhumi Pednekar

Bhumi Pednekar is one of those actors who goes a mile extra to make a lasting impression. The actor marked her debut essaying the character of an over-weight girl in Dum Laga Ke Haisha. After the release of the film in 2015, she went through a massive transformation. Most of the films of the Bala actor have always been praised for content and her performance. She won several awards for her debut in 2015.
