Bhaagamathie: R. Madhavan and Bhumi Pendekar to scare the audience?

If the recent reports are anything to go by, then Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is all set to join hands with R. Madhavan and Bhumi Pednekar. Reports state that Akshay will co-produce the upcoming remake of a Telugu movie title, Bhaagamathie.  A source close to the project shared the details of the film with a leading daily.

The report from the daily stated that Akshay Kumar will collaborate with producer Vikram Malhotra for the Hindi remake of Bhaagamathie. Talking about the cast, the report said that the film will star R. Madhavan and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles. Director G Ashok will don the hat of direction for the Hindi remake. He had also directed the film in Telugu. According to the reports, talks are still going on for the project and Khiladi Kumar might play a cameo in the film for which he will shoot for six to eight days. Giving insights, the report said that the horror-suspense project will go on floors by December.

On the work front, Akshay Kumar is currently busy in the promotions and shooting for his multiple upcoming projects. He will soon share screen space with Kareena Kapoor Khan after almost ten years in a comedy-drama, Good Newwz. Whereas his Toilet-Ek Prem Katha co-star is basking the success of her two back to back films Saand Ki Aankh and Bala. On the other hand, R. Madhavan, who was last seen in Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero in 2018, is gearing up for his upcoming thriller-mystery, Nishabdham along with Anushka Shetty.

Details of Bhaagamathie

The lead characters for the Telugu film are essayed by the actors Anushka Shetty, Jayaram, and Unni Mukundan. The film released in the year 2018 and earned a positive response from the critics and the audience. The film collected ₹ 70 crores at the box office. The G Ashok directorial narrates the story of an IAS officer Chanchala Reddy, who was imprisoned in for investigating a corrupt politician. The film is rated 9 out 10 on IMDb.
