The first look of the film was also recently revealed on social media and featured actor Kartik Aaryan. He recently confirmed in an interview to a national daily that Akshay Kumar will not be seen in the sequel. He also revealed that Akshay Kumar was iconic in his role as Dr Aditya Shrivastav in the first part. This news comes as a disappointment for fans since they were expecting to catch a glimpse of Dr Aditya in the sequel. The latter stars Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles. The film is a period drama and Ranbir Kapoor will reportedly be seen in a double role. Kartik Aaryan also has several projects in his kitty including Pati Patni Aur Woh, Imtiaz Ali's next, Dostana 2. On the other hand, Kiara Advani also has Laxmmi Bomb, Shershaah, and Good Newwz. Even 12 years after its release, Bhool Bhulaiyaa is one of the most loved films most by both critics and the audience. It will be interesting to see if the sequel will live up to expectations.
