Salman Khan skipped a court hearing in the blackbuck poaching case that was scheduled on September 27, 2019. The 'Bharat' star was summoned by the Jodhpur court
Salman Khan skipped a court hearing in the blackbuck poaching case that was scheduled on September 27, 2019. The 'Bharat' star was summoned by the sessions court of Jodhpur a few months back. For the uninitiated, the court had asked the actor's lawyer to ensure his presence during the hearing or else he would be at risk of his bail being cancelled.
The next date has been scheduled to December 19.
The case:
Salman Khan had filed a plea against his conviction by a lower court, which had sentenced him to five years in jail. During a hearing on July 4, Sessions Court Judge Chandra Kumar Songara had directed him to appear before the court on September 27, failing which his bail plea may be cancelled.
However, there are apprehensions that the actor may not appear though police have claimed to put in place adequate security measures."Due to a similar threat by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in February last year, Salman Khan had shelved his plan of appearing before the court," said a police official. Prosecution counsel Mahipal Bishnoi said the court had verbally asked Salman Khan's counsel to make him appear in the court during the last hearing. The actor has not appeared before the court since May last year when he was granted bail.
On the professional front:
Salman Khan will next be seen in the film, 'Dabangg 3.'
Apart from him, the Dabangg 3 cast includes Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan, Sudeep, Mahie Gill among others. The film which has been one of the most awaited film of the year is directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by the Khan brothers. Reports state that actor Salman Khan will perform a scene in the film bearing his shirtless muscular torso.
