Chhapaak starring Deepika Padukone is set to release on January 10, 2020. The film on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Aggrawal. Chhappak is one of the highly anticipated movies of 2020. But this is not the first time that Deepika’s fans have been curious about her role and left equally impressed with her performance and involvement in a role. So here are four other stunning performances by Deepika Padukone that stunned the critics and the fans. Take a look.

1.  Mastani in Bajirao Mastani

In this 2015 epic historical drama film, Deepika Padukone played the role of Bundelkhand’s princess Mastani. Deepika’s performance was highly appreciated by the audience and the critics. Deepika Padukone went to through some special training sessions to nail the role of the warrior princess. Deepika Padukone’s dance performances in couple of tracks of the film also received a positive response.

2. Veronica Costa in Cocktail

Deepika Padukone’s performance in this Homi Adajania directed film received great critical acclaim. The film did not do that well at the box-office. But several critics claim that Veronica’s role proved Deepika’s acting chops and hence in her career-defining role in Bollywood. Deepika Padukone's portrayal of a rich socialite enthralled the audience and took centre-stage in the film.

3. Tara in Tamasha

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Tamasha failed to do well at the box-office but is considered as a masterpiece delivered by Imtiaz Ali. Deepika Padukone’s role of Tara who falls in love Ved on a trip and her efforts to bring his lively personality back into the light won the hearts of the critics. The explosive chemistry between Tara and Ved was equally celebrated by the audience and the critics.

4. Leela in Ram-Leela

This modern take on Romeo and Juliet was another stunning performance delivered by the Chhapaak actor. Deepika Padukone’s portrayal of Leela was not only bold and enthusiastic but emotional at the same time. Leela’s volatile nature was perfectly complemented by her then co-actor now-husband, Ranveer Singh. Deepika also managed to impress the audience with her dancing in the film.
