Chris Martin promotes next album in a newspaper's classified section
Chris Martin fronted band Coldplay's promoted their next album through the classified section of a newspaper. Their next album is set to release on November 22.
Chris Martin recently dropped the tracks of his latest album titled Everyday Life through the classified sections of a newspaper. Chris Martin fronted band Coldplay the last album was titled A Head Full of Dreams which was released back in 2015. Since then the band has been touring and working on their latest album, Everyday Life. Read on for more details about this unique promotion strategy by the British band.
Coldplay releases next album’s details
Coldplay on Wednesday dropped the track list of their next album in a leading newspaper from Welsh. In this classified section’s ad, the band has revealed that the album has been divided into two sections. One section has been titled Sunrise while the second section or part of the album has been titled Sunset. Sunrise features songs titled Sunrise, Church, Trouble in Town, Broken, Daddy, and many more. Whereas Sunset features songs titled Guns, Orphans, Eko, Cry Cry Cry, Old Friends and many more. Apart from the British newspaper, Coldplay also chose to print these ads in several international newspapers.
The band took a step further with the promotion of their album by also putting up posters of their latest album on several cities all around the world. Chris Martin’s band has been pooping on these posters in cities like Berlin, Hong Kong, Madrid, Munich and Sydney suggests a report from a media publication. Chris Martin fronted band also spoke in detail about their latest album in a letter to their fan. Later on, they even posted a picture of their letter on their official Instagram handle. In the letter addressed to their fan, the band stated that they have been working on this album for ages which talks about how the band collectively feels about everyday things. In the letter, the band also stated the release of the album as November 22. Coldplay has been also shooting for a music video for their song Orphans and also shared a glimpse from the shoot for their fans. Take a look.
