Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar's row has taken the Indian film industry by storm. From newbies to veterans, many have come out to support and talk about the issue of sexual harassment in the industry. In the wake of the recent uproar, Daisy Shah - choreographer-turned-actress, revealed that she was present on the day when it happened.
Talking to an online portal, the actress shared that back then she was an assistant to choreographer Ganesh Acharya and was to make Dutta learn the steps. Both Daisy and Tanushree rehearsed 3-4 days before the shoot of the song and things went swiftly for the first two days of the shoot. She added that on the third day something happened which she isn't aware of but being a woman, she sympathises Tanushree for having the courage to speak up about the incident.
Daisy hasn't been the only celebrity to support the actress. With each passing day, many Bollywood's big-wigs are coming out to extend their support on this issue including Priyanka Chopra and Simi Garewal. Latest to the bandwagon being Raveena Tandon, who shared how in the 90s, this was prevalent but nobody said a thing. "So who decides what is the truth? In the 1990s this was so prevalent, a married actor would have a discreet affair with the young heroine he was working with and expected the girl to show no emotion or sign of involvement. And God forbid if in a weak moment she does show, all hell would break loose," she said in a blog post.
Meanwhile, Nana Patekar has filed a legal notice against Tanushree who then released a statement saying, "There was a lie that was spun by the four culprits; Nana, Ganesh Acharya, director Rakesh Sarang and producer Sami Siddique as well as their supporters on set and outside the set; The MNS party who were called to mob attack me."
