Ranveer Singh was born on July 6, 1985, and is currently 34 years old. In an interview with an entertainment magazine, Ranveer spoke at length about his childhood. He was born in the city of Mumbai to Anju and Jagjit Singh Bhavnani. He has an elder sister and had a grandmother, named Chand Burke, who had worked in the film industry as an actor. Ranveer also stated in the interview that he always had an interest in acting and the film industry but understood that finding a break in the industry is extremely difficult. Because of that, he went to H.R. College of Commerce and Economics.

In the same interview, Ranveer added that he wanted to focus more on creative writing and moved to the USA to join Indiana University for a degree in Bachelor of Arts. At the university, he once again found his passion for acting and took acting as his minor. After his graduation, he had a brief stint as an assistant director. He did not find directing to be as appealing as acting, so he completely dedicated himself to acting and sent his resume to several casting directors. However, he initially only got offers for minor roles, which started to demotivate him. But he did not have to wait for too long and finally found his break in Bollywood in 2010.

 Band Baaja Baaraat and his best movies after that

Ranveer Singh got his break into Bollywood with the 2010 romantic comedy Band Baaja Baaraat, where he co-starred alongside actor Anushka Sharma. The movie was a hit and Ranveer Singh was praised for his acting. He even won an award for Best Debut Actor for his role in the film. After Band Baaja Baaraat, Ranveer featured in several other movies that were popular. Some of his best and most commercially successful films include Gully Boy, Bajirao Mastani, and Padmaavat. His movies are not only commercial hits but are also often critically acclaimed for the plot as well as Ranveer’s acting.

Ranveer Singh’s marriage

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone first met at the 2012 Zee Cine Awards. After that, the two even featured together in a few films. The Padmaavat co-stars became romantically involved and publicly shared that they were dating sometime around 2016. Deepika and Ranveer finally got married in 2018 and are still going strong after a year.

Ranveer Singh will next be seen in the biopic ’83. The film will be about the Indian Cricket team that played and won the 1983 Cricket World Cup. Deepika Padukone will also feature in the film. The movie will release across Indian theatres in 2020.
