The celebration of one of the biggest festival of the year Diwali is soon coming to an end. With a whole lot of feasts laden with mouthwatering food and desserts, it comes as no surprise that you might feel guilty about indulgence. While this may come with an unhealthy weight gain, it is necessary to pay a little attention to our diet, especially post the Diwali binge. Here are a few healthy snacks you can have to detox and nourish post Diwali.

5 Healthy snacks after the Diwali binge:

Fruits

One of the natural and the healthiest snack is fruits. Fruits are filled with vitamins, antioxidants, fibre and minerals that help in cleansing the system. Fruits have a natural flavour and contain natural sugar which can be digested easily. It is easy on your stomach and leaves you energised.

Raw vegetables

Opt for raw salads like cucumbers and carrots along with lunch. You can even toss some olive oil, olives along with leafy vegetables to make a salad. For best results, opt for seasonal vegetables. This will help detox your body.

Nuts

Dry fruits or nuts are the healthiest snacks. A fistful of dry fruits every morning gives your body the necessary nutrients and also works as an antioxidant. Soak two almonds at night and eat it in the morning. You can make include dry fruits like raisins, almonds in your oats and porridge for breakfast. Nuts not only help you to lose weight that you might have gained during Diwali but also help in increasing your metabolism and keep you satiated.
