Diwali releases: Here's a list of movies releasing this festive season

This Diwali, there are multiple films releasing at the box office of which some are the most anticipated movies of the year. This year, there have been some blockbusters that have set the cash registers ringing at the box office already. From War, to Saaho, Bollywood is gearing up for a movie fest this Diwali. Here is a list of Diwali releases that one can look forward to.

Housefull 4

Housefull 4 is one of the most anticipated movies of 2019. It faced a lot of problems initially but is finally set to hit the silver screen on October 26, 2019. The movie has a huge star cast and some of the most talked-about actors from the industry. The comedy-drama is helmed by Farhad Samji and stars Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, and Kriti Kharbanda in the lead roles. Rana Daggubati of Bahubali fame will also be seen in the movie while Sacred Games actor Nawazuddin Siddique will also have a cameo in the film. The theme of the film is based on reincarnation. The film is the fourth installment of the Housefull legacy that has garnered a lot of appreciation by the audiences through the years.

Marjaavaan

The Milap Zaveri directorial stars Sidharth Malhotra as the protagonist. Siddharth's character will be seen romancing the character of 'new student' of Bollywood and also his rumoured girlfriend Tara Sutaria. Riteish Deshmukh will play a dwarf antagonist in the film. Marjaavaan also stars Rakul Preet Singh who received a lot of praise for her performance in De De Pyaar De. The movie is an action-romance which will release on November 8, 2019.

Saand Ki Aankh

Saand Ki Aankh is a biopic and also a women-centric film based on the lives of two sharpshooters Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar. The movie stars Taapsee Pannu who will play the role of Prakashi Tomar while Bhumi Pednekar will play the role of Chandro Tomar. The movie is directed by Tushar Hiranandani and produced by Anurag Kashyap. The movie is slated to release on October 25, 2019.
