Emraan Hashmi: All you need to know about his upcoming 'The Body'

Emraan Hashmi and Rishi Kapoor are making headlines for their upcoming release The Body. The movie marks Rishi Kapoor's comeback to Bollywood. The movie is said to be a horror-thriller movie inspired by the Spanish thriller El Cuerpo. A few days ago, Emraan Hashmi took it to his social media handle to share the poster of The Body. Emraan Hashmi captioned the poster, "This December, join the search to find #TheBody. Unravel the mystery on Friday the 13th."

The storyline of the film revolves around a widower whose role is being essayed by Emraan Hashmi. The dead body that has mysteriously disappeared is of his wife. It is also said that Rishi Kapoor will be seen portraying the role of a cop.

In the poster of the movie, the makers have unveiled the release date of the film. The movie will hit the screens on December 13 2019. The makers of the movie reportedly had kept the film's name and release date a secret. They had decided to announce the film name and its release date soon after the shoot was wrapped up. According to reports, the film was completed within 39 days and, upon completion, the makers announced its release date. 

About the film

The film is an investigative thriller that revolves around a missing dead body. The film was first released in 2012 in Spanish. Later, it was unofficially remade in Kannada and Tamil. Later, it was remade into The Vanished in Korea in 2018. The Spanish version of the film was very well-received by the audience and also received positive reviews. The Hindi remake will be starring Emraan Hashmi along with Rishi Kapoor in the pivotal roles. The Body will also be featuring  Raman Raghav 2.0 actor Sobhita Dhulipala and Rukhsar Rehman. The movie is being directed by Jeethu Joseph. The director of the film is popular for his Malayalam films as well as the Bollywood movie Drishyam.
