He said that he was in touch with Rishi Kapoor and hence knew that his treatment would take some time. He said that he has had a similar tragedy in his family, although the cancer was different. He also said that he knew it was treatable, more so because he believed Rishi Kapoor is strong. He also added that the makers patiently waited for Rishi Kapoor. He said that no one was thinking about the delay or money. As reported by the leading newspaper, he was also asked to watch the Spanish film, The Body, before starting the shoot for the film.
