Complainant's side
Sexual abuse complaint has been filed against veteran Bollywood actor Jeetendra by my client. The victim is his cousin and the abuse took place when she was just 18 and Jeetendra 10 years older around 28.
It took years for the victim to muster courage and speak out after feminist awareness campaigns such as #Metoo, which have created an atmosphere of hope for millions of victims who remain quiet despite facing sexual abuse within their own families and relatives they and their families trust the most.
The victim decided to file a police complaint after demise of her parents, who would have been heartbroken having got to know about the sexual abuse by Jeetendra, their nephew.
She was almost a child at 18 years, when Jeetendra asked victim’s father that he’ll take her for a film shoot, where he ultimately sexually abused her.
The victim wants a closure and healing for the indelible marks left on her soul due to the sexual abuse and the mental trauma suffered for years after the sexual abuse.
She does understand that the accused is rich, powerful and politically well connected.
The victim and her family request media to keep their identity secret according to the law. Will be addressing media at Supreme Court lawns with the contents of the complaint at 2 pm.
Expect registration of FIR and arrest of accused in the interest of Justice.
According to wire reports, the cousin emailed the complaint to the Director General of Police of Himachal Pradesh as she stated that the incident allegedly took place in Shimla in January 1971.
In response to this complaint, veteran actor, Jeetendra rubbished the sexual assault allegations made by his cousin. According to an exclusive statement accessed by Republicworld from veteran actor Jeetendra’s advocate, the actor has “specifically and categorically” denied “any such incident”.

Jeetendra's arguement:
Foremost my client specifically and categorically denies any such incident. Besides even otherwise such baseless, ridiculous and fabricated claims cannot be entertained by any Court of law or the law enforcement agencies after a span of almost 50 years. The Statute has provided a justice delivery system through the Courts, and the provisions for Limitation for filing complaints was specifically enacted to ensure that all genuine complaints are made within a maximum time limit of three years, so that a proper investigation is carried out and timely justice is delivered.
Besides I want to make it specifically clear that the law does not give any person any rights or liberties of making any baseless, ridiculous or fabricated claims against any man publicly and seek to defame him with a hidden personal agenda.
Media should therefore cautiously refrain from giving any importance to such ridiculous, baseless and fabricated claims and they should not participate in any way whatsoever in defaming or assassinating the character of any man in such cases.
In any event the timing of this baseless complaint seems to be nothing but a miserable effort made by a jealous competitor to disrupt the business activities of my client and his esteemed Company.
Such efforts are therefore in all fairness treated with the contempt it truly deserves.
