Farhan Akhtar is considered one of the most talented celebrities of Bollywood because of his skills which include direction, writing, production and singing. The star stepped into the film industry as an assistant director in small films and went on to direct the award-winning film, Dil Chahta Hai. He later moved on to acting and singing with Abhishek Kapoor’s 2008 musical-drama, Rock On!! Let’s take a look at his career which includes being a writer, director, actor, and singer.
Farhan's work in Bollywood
Farhan started his own production house with Ritesh Sidhwani called Excel Entertainments at a very young age. Farhan Akhtar made a great entry into Bollywood with his first directorial Dil Chahta Hai which was also written and produced by his production house. In 2006, Akhtar took up the project, Don and went on to make three installments of the remake of the Amitabh starrer. His next iconic work, Rock On!! was released in the year 2008 where he not only acted but also penned the dialogues of the film. Farhan also sang songs for the album of the film for which he was awarded Best Male Debut at the 54th Filmfare Awards. He was also given Best Male Playback Singer award for his song Socha Hai written by his father, Javed Akhtar. He went on to do some great films like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Wazir. Farhan had The Sky Is Pink as his last outing which pairs him alongside Priyanka Chopra.
