Rumours on Shah Rukh Khan-Farhan Akhtar's Don 3
Alongside the poster, Farhan Akhtar wrote, “The number 13. Lucky for some. Unlucky for others. Don doesn’t give a damn..!! He creates his own destiny. Boom. A big shout out to the best cast and crew one could have hoped for to recreate this classic” After the failure of Shah Rukh Khan’s last release Zero, it was rumoured that he might be seen in Don 3 soon. However, reports say that Farhan Akhtar, who helmed the previous two instalments of Don, has no script for Don 3 as of now. A source close to a leading daily said, “Farhan Akhtar has no script, not even an idea for a plot to do another film. He’s busy with his acting and music career. He hasn’t directed any film for the last nine years. His last directorial was Don 2 in 2011. It looks like the Don series is dead.” Farhan Akhtar’s producing partner Ritesh Sidhwani told a newspaper in March, “We are still working on it and don’t know when it will happen. It’s a keenly awaited franchise, and we can’t disappoint the fans.”
