Gadar 2 actor Sunny Deol denies signing new film amid reports of Border 2

Sunny Deol is currently riding high on the success of his recent film Gadar 2. The actor has been travelling for the promotion of the film even after the massive success. Recent reports suggested that after the success of Gadar 2, the actor will star in the sequel of his hit film Border.

Sunny Deol rubbishes rumours on Border 2

On August 19, reports circulating in the media claimed that after the success of Gadar 2, Sunny Deol has been approached for working on the sequel of his 1997 film Border. A source informed Pinkvilla that “The team has been discussing the probability of making a Border sequel for the last 2 to 3 years and everything has now finally fallen into place as the team is all set to make an official announcement about Border 2 in a fortnight.” However, there was no confirmation about the same from any production house and no official announcement has been made until now.

In the late hours of August 19, Sunny Deol took to his Instagram to share an update about the film. In the note, he mentioned a news circulating of him signing a few films. However, the actor rubbished the claims and noted, “I would like to inform that currently I am only concentrating on Gadar 2 and receiving your love.” Though he did not mention any name, it can be assumed that he is hinting at Border 2. 

Sunny Deol hints at a ‘special announcement’

In the cryptic post, the actor did not deny nor accept the making of Border 2. He added in the note, “I have not signed any film and would be announcing something special soon at the right time.” He concluded the post by asking his fans to “keep showering your love for Tara Singh.”
