Gadar 2 Vs OMG 2 Box Office: Sunny Deol starrer eyes Rs 100 cr, Akshay's film sees jump

Cumulative, latest Bollywood releases OMG 2 and Gadar 2 will be bringing in Rs 160-170 crore nett in their opening weekend.

OMG 2 and Gadar 2 were released simultaneously on August 11. While Sunny Deol starrer is way ahead in the race, Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi's OMG 2, which is based on sex education, is also doing good business owing to good word-of-mouth.

OMG 2 and Gadar 2 performing well 

OMG 2 and Gadar 2 clash s a win-win for the Bollywood box office. Owing to the Independence Day weekend and holidays, both films have been performing well. Gadar 2 definitely has the upper hand and is performing really well in the mass circuits, but OMG 2 has also managed to bank in on good word-of-mouth.

After two days, Gadar 2 collection stands at Rs 82 crore plus in India while OMG 2 has earned Rs 25.56 crore. While Gadar 2's Day 2 collection was in the same range as Day 1, OMG 2 saw a 50 percent jump in its earnings owing to positive critics and auidence reviews.  As per a report in Box Office India, the growth of the film has come across multiplexes in India. 

Rs 160-170 crore weekend for Bollywood box office

Since both films have managed to find favour among the audience and are performing well in their respective markets, it is expected that cumulative, they will be bringing in Rs 160-170 crore nett in their opening weekend. This is despite movies like Rajinikanth's Jailer, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Chiranjeevi's Bhola Shankar and Oppenheimer running in cinema halls.
