Ghoomer box office collection Day 2: Abhishek Bachchan-Sayami Kher's film shows 30% growth

The Abhishek Bachchan starrer Ghoomer recorded a total collection of ₹1.1 cr on Saturday, showing a 29 percent growth from its opening day figures. The R.Balki-directed film had opened with an ₹85 lakh figure on Friday. Ghoomer stars Saiyami Kher in lead role, besides Abhishek Bachchan.

Ghoomer estimated to collect 1.2 cr on Sunday

Ghoomer's collections now stand at 1.95 cr, after day 2. The film's Sunday collections reportedly will be similar to its Saturday figures. According to Sacnilk.com, Ghoomer showed the best occupancy in Pune this morning, where it has a total of 49 shows. The film recorded a 40% occupancy in the city, as compared to its average occupancy of 24.3% across all venues. As per the trade website Sacnilk, the film is estimated to collect 1.2 cr on Day 3.

Ghoomer was reportedly made on a budget of ₹25 crores, including Prints and Advertising costs.  According to a report by Boxofficeindia.com, the film would have had a chance of fairing well at the box office, if the Saturday collections were twice as much as on Friday. However, Ghoomer’s success on box-office doesn’t look likely, with its current figures and trend.

Ghoomer also stars Shabana Azmi

Ghoomer is inspired by a true story and tells the story of a paraplegic woman who becomes a successful cricketer with the guidance of her coach. Besides Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher, the film also stars Angad Bedi and Shabana Azmi in its primary cast. Azmi was recently also seen in Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
