Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher starrer Ghoomer trailer was launched today (August 4). The trailer shows a cameo appearance from Abhishek’s father, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan. At the trailer launch event, the actor spoke about his father’s connection with the R Balki directorial.

Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan will not share screen space in Ghoomer
At the trailer launch event of Ghoomer, Abhishek Bachchan talked about his father’s cameo in the movie. In the film's trailer, Big B features in the end and appears to be playing the role of the commentator. He recalled how previous collaborations between Ghoomer director R Balki and Amitabh Bachchan have been fruitful. The duo has teamed up in Paa, Cheeni Kum, Chup and Shamitabh.

Talking about his father’s role in the upcoming sports drama, Abhishek said “Dad is Balki's lucky charm and he will never make a film without him. This is our ode to my dad.” However, he also clarified that even though the Deewar actor is seen in the trailer, the father-son duo will not share screen space. He said, “Unfortunately, we don't share screen space, but he has a cameo in this.”
Abhishek Bachchan is glad about Ghoomer not releasing on OTT
Recently several Hindi films have taken directl to digital route recently. Talking about the same, Abhishek Bachchan shared his excitement about releasing the films in theatres. He said, “Every actor, producer, and director believes that Friday will decide the future.
"Every film is a make or break for you and Ghoomer is the same. I am happy and proud of the film. I am happy that it’s releasing in theatres. Coming into a dark theatre with samosa,” Abhishek said.
