Here's Why Sonam Kapoor Is Off Twitter For A While

Actress and fashion queen Sonam Kapoor, who is otherwise very active on social media, announced on Saturday that she is taking some time off from Twitter. The 'Neerja' actress did not give details as to why she is taking a break from the micro-blogging website but she mentioned that Twitter has become "too negative". Before signing off, Sonam wished peace and love to her followers and wrote: "I'm going off Twitter for a while. It's just too negative. Peace and love to all!"

Sonam has been an outspoken celebrity, and she does not fear hate comments on her social media. She wears her heart on her sleeve and never shies away from taking the right stand or speaking her heart out on social media. Recently, after sexual harassment allegations against former AIB member Utsav Chakraborty came into light, AIB had issued a statement. Sonam had co-quoted it saying it was a good move by them but she later deleted that tweet. There is no official reason as to why Sonam deleted the tweet. 

However, on October 4, The actress had taken to her social media handle to complain about the roads and the traffic in Mumbai and she got trolled by a follower for the same.

Sonam's tweet of her taking a break from Twitter has come as a shock to her followers and nobody knows when the actress will resume. Meanwhile, on the professional front, post enjoying the success of 'Sanju', Sonam has been busy shooting for 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' wherein she stars alongside her father Anil Kapoor for the first time. She also will be seen opposite Rajkummar Rao in the movie. The fashionista also has 'Zoya Factor' lined up wherein she is paired alongside Dulquer Salmaan.
