HILARIOUS: Bitter Rock trash-talks and plays mindgames with Nick Jonas only to get the people's elbow

Nick Jonas has trumped Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in an epic contest -- one with clear significance to both of them. Each of them had made it past a long list of 'stylish' men to finish at the head of their respective brackets in the race to be GQ's most stylish man. And now, after some super trash talk, Jonas has won.

Singer Nick Jonas, who Indians are now more than familiar with on account of his recent marriage to Priyanka Chopra, beat out Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds in the semi-final. He had earlier defeated Canadian singer Shawn Mendes, Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman, rapper Drake and current holder of the People's Sexiest Man of the Year award, Idris Elba.

The Rock, who is also well known to Indians owing to his long association with professional wrestling especially during the WWE's Attitude Era, is actually Idris Elba's predecessor as People's Sexiest man, winning the crown in 2016, and now, he's approaching another gong after beating singer John Legend in the semis. The Rock beat actor Rami Malek in the quarters as well as Tyler the Creator, Zayn Malik and DeAndre Hopkins before that.

Now here's where it gets interesting. We know that the Rock is fiercely competitive (just Google The Rock and Kevin Hart). He's wasn't going to let Nick get away with winning this without a fight, and so he laid the gauntlet down!

His first mindgame involved playing down his own chances and spelling out why he's in an unfavourable situation:

He tweeted:

"The @GQMagazine’s Most Stylish Man of 2018 comes down to big newlywed @nickjonas and the big, brown, bald dude - who’s divorced. Cue my Sinatra and kindly pour me a double, damn it Im going dark 😂🥃"

(Note - The Rock clearly thought that Nick's recent wedding gives the latter the edge)

And so, apart from everything else, Nick Jonas is now also GQ's Sexiest Man having beaten The Rock in a popular contest.
