Himesh Reshammiya who launched Ranu Mondal's debut Bollywood song was left teary-eyed when he spoke about their journey together and the experience he shared with the 59-year-old.
Himesh Reshammiya breaks down:
At the launch event of their song, 'Teri Meri Kahani', Himesh was seen breaking down while speaking about Ranu Mondal and her struggles. At that moment Ranu also exclaimed those are 'happy tears' and not of sadness. "Inki (Himesh) ankhon mein toh aansu hi aa gaye. Ek hota hai dukhi ansu, inki ankhon mn khushi ke aansu hain.", she said.

Himesh thanks everyone
After an emotional moment, Himesh Reshammiya then went in to thank everyone who was involved in the process and how everything that Ranu, now has in her life is because each and every person is involved. "Ye safar aap logon ki wajah se hua hai. Kabhi kabhi koi aisa talent samne aata hai, toh agar uss talent ko hum aage leke jaate hain toh hume lagta hai ki pata nahi humne kya kar diya. Actually humne kuch bhi nahi kia. Humari taraf se jo ho saka humne wo kia", he said

Himesh on Ranu Mondal:
As per media reports, Himesh Reshammiya who hailed Ranu Mondal's voice as 'god gifted' said that he feels that she is blessed with divinity and said that her voice was so mesmerizing that he could not stop himself from offering her the best he could. He further stated that Ranu Mondal's voice should reach everyone and he is just offering a platform for the same.
Meanwhile, controversy broke out when veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar stated that Ranu Mondal's fame will not last.
Lata Mangeshkar during a recent media interaction reportedly said that she will consider herself fortunate if someone is benefitted by her name and work, but she feels that 'imitation is not a reliable and durable companion for success.' As per media reports, Lata Mangeshkar said that by singing her song, or Kishore Kumar's song or Mohammad Rafi's song aspiring singers can get short-term attention, but it won't last.
