Housefull 4: The Akshay Kumar starrer to enter the 200 crore club

Akshay Kumar is on a roll as his recent movies, Mission Mangal and Kesari have hit the right chord at the box office. Akshay’s recent release, Housefull 4 is yet again blowing the trumpets of victory across the nation, as it opened to a whooping ₹19.08 crores right on the first day of its release. Well, the film is still going strong at the box office after its first week. Reportedly, the film also garnered around ₹ 48.42 crore on its second week.

The film Housefull 4 is soon inching towards the 200 crore club

Housefull 4 has achieved a phenomenal success across the country. South's popular trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to his social media to share the total collections of the film. He tweeted that the film has garnered a total of ₹189.73 crores at the box office on its second week and will soon enter the 200 crore club. There were some speculations amongst few of the trade analysts and the audience that the box office numbers of the Akshay Kumar- starrer were exaggerated by the makers. However, the makers of the film have clarified that the producer of the film, Fox Star Studio will not give out such wrong information. Akshay reportedly spoke about this controversy in a recent interview. The actor came in support of the producers of the film in this matter.

Akshay Kumar defends producers regarding exaggerated B.O. numbers controversy

Akshay revealed that the Fox Star Studios have a lot of credibility. The actor further revealed that the studio deals with corporate money which comes from Los Angeles so the box office collections cannot be fabricated by the producers. Akshay further added that people should use their brains before spreading such baseless rumours and that the studio makes films of millions and millions of dollar so a slight increase by three or five numbers means nothing to them. The actor also made a revelation that the producers have to report all the numbers that they are tweeting so they cannot lie regarding the exact box office collections of the movie.
