Hrithik Roshan: The many health problems that the actor has overcome
Hrithik Roshan is well known for his acting and dancing but there was a time when he was told he could not do either. Here is how he overcame his conditions.
Hrithik Roshan is currently one of the most popular Indian actors. His recent movie War was a huge success, proving that he is a star with a gigantic fan following. Hrithik is also considered to be one of the most handsome and talented actors in the Bollywood industry. However, Hrithik had to overcome a lot of hardships before he could become the celebrated actor that he is today.
He has a stammering problem
In an interview, Hrithik spoke openly about the difficulties he faced as a child. He spoke about the stammering problem that he had since a very young age and that he suffers from it even to this day. He would always have to put in a large amount of effort to be understood and speak properly. The stammering also made his school days difficult, as he would often be bullied by his peers. Whenever there was an oral test at school, Hrithik would find an excuse to bunk it. However, Hrithik did manage to overcome this problem. While speech therapists were a part of the help he received, he said that the main way to combat this speech impediment has been constant practice and hard work. In one interview he said that he even practised what he would tell his cook to make for dinner for 36 hours.
Health issues that he faced later in life
Hrithik's stammering problem was not the only hurdle for his career as an actor. When he was 21 he was diagnosed with Scoliosis, a condition where the spinal cord gets curved. He told an interviewer that he was asked to stop acting, as it could put too much pressure on his back and lead to paralysis. But Hrithik did not get deterred and continued to act while working to combat his physical ailment.
Another health problem that he faced was a bad knee that made his knee bone extremely brittle. He found out about the condition in 2011 and was told that he could never dance again but once more Hrithik proved that statement wrong and managed to pull through, continuing to be one of the best dancers in Bollywood. Finally, in 2013, he suffered from a haematoma, localized internal bleeding, in his brain. After a risky surgery, the actor was once again ready to get back to working in films.
These were the problems that Hrithik has faced and overcame. He continues to act and dance, making him an inspiration for those that suffer from any condition that they think is stopping them from pursuing their dreams. Hrithik starred alongside Tiger Shroff in War. The movie has already made over ₹ 300 crores at the worldwide box office and is adored by fans.
