On the work front

Ileana will be seen alongside John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Pulkit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda, and Urvashi Rautela in the film titled Pagalpanti. This action-comedy is produced by  Bhushan Kumar, Abhishek Pathak, Krishan Kumar and Kumar Mangat Pathak, and is set to hit the silver screens on November 22, 2019. The plot of the comedy-drama revolves around three men who are considered losers by people. They plan to get rich with their lovers by fooling two gangsters and robbing money from them.

“Comedy doesn't come to mind when people think of me. After 'Mubarakan' people from the industry told me they were surprised to see me in the film and said they didn't expect me to be also good in it. It's a challenge to surprise people so I like to put myself in situations where even I don't know if I can pull it off,” Ileana told PTI.

These days Ileana is busy promoting her upcoming movie. In a recent interview, the Main Tera Hero actor told that she immediately agreed for working in Pagalpanti because of the success of Mubarakan, which was churned by Bazmee only. She further revealed that her family watched Mubarakan and liked it. Therefore, when Anees Bazmee offered her a role in Pagalpanti, she accepted. She also said that working with the filmmaker has been a great experience. Ileana D’Cruz also said that being a director, Bazmee understands his actors well. When asked about working with Arshad Warsi and Anil Kapoor, she praised them by talking about their impeccable comic timings.
