‘It’s a moment of great pride and joy’: Amitabh Bachchan, Anurag Kashyap, Shekhar Kapur, Vidhu Vinod Chopra ecstatic as their young ones graduate

Graduation is the stepping stone to the future and that’s why it is always celebrated. While the graduates themselves might not be that excited, perhaps worrying about their next course of action, their parents and other close ones are often over the moon. That was exactly the visual on social media as a bunch of celebrity kids graduated in different parts of the world recently. The Bachchan family, Anurag Kashyap, Shekhar Kapur and Vidhu Vinod Chopra couldn’t contain their excitement over their young ones’ defining achievement.

As Shweta Bachchan Nanda’s son Agastya graduated in Kent, UK, the family was in a celebratory mood and posted pictures. Abhishek called himself a ‘Proud Mamu', while Shweta and Agastya's sister Navya also shared their lovely moments on social media. 

Big B penned a cute note for him on his blog, “Thats one grandchild .. another several miles away graduates and its a moment of great pride and joy .. the family is all with him .. and there are frequent messages and pictures flying about .. but .. 

I mean he was just born the other day and we had all been around his Mother at Breach Candy Hospital, and carried him into the World with affection and love .. and there he is today, spanking big boy, carnation on his suit lapel, hair flushed back and looking very British .. and taller than everyone else in the family ..  

err .. almost .. still have to see where he measures against Abhishek and me .. (sic)” 

Veteran filmmaker Shekhar Kapur and actor-singer's Suchitra Krishnamoorthi’s daughter Kaveri, a singer, also graduated and the parents were the happiest. 

Sharing an adroable pic of the trio, Shekhar Kapur wrote, “You are the bow. Your children are the arrow. Pull it tight and true. And then you must let the arrow go, to find it’s own target. It’s own life. Tonight, on my daughter’s graduation, it was time to allow the arrow go piercing through the journey of life. And I finally got a chance to wear a graduation cap too!  Good luck my sweetheart .. wherever your journey takes you, your parents love will follow @kaverikapur#graduation #graduation #school#father #fatherdaughter#schoolfriends #journeyoflife   

Suchitra wrote, “Kaveris high school graduation today. Time has indeed flown... cant get over how big my baby has grown Aankhon mein aansoo @shekharkapur.”” (sic) 

Anurag didn’t share a lengthy note as such, but shared a sweet selfie with daughter Aaliyah and her friend’s family. 

Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra and film critic Anupama Chopra’s daughter Zuni graduated in Mumbai and her aunt, filmmaker Tanuja Chandra was also present at the graduation ceremony.

Anupama Chopra penned an emotional note, “And before you know it, high school is over! @zunichopra graduates - grateful to the #dhirubhaiambaniinternationalschoolfor being a second home that gave her a great education, a strong work ethic and even stronger values. No doubt the four youngsters looked cute in their graduation robes and hats, and it’d be interesting to how many of them follow their parents into the entertainment industry.
