Following the World Animal Day on Thursday, October 4, Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez visited the United Nations (UN) headquarters with a petition against animals testing. The actress who was spotted visiting the organisation on Friday, October 5, reportedly submitted the petition with nearly 8 million signatures.
The initiative was part of the 'Forever Against Animal Testing' campaign that was run by a brand that the 'Race 3' actress endorses. The 'Roy' actress attended the special event at the UN headquarters and addressed the audience. Jaqueline took to Instagram to share a story of herself at the UN headquarters.

Jacqueline is an animal lover herself and has many pets. The actress believes that there is no beauty in harming animals. Apart from animal welfare, Jacqueline Fernandez also supports marine conservation and contributes to creating awareness of the same. According to PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals), each year more than 100 million animals including mice, rats, frogs, dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, monkeys, fish and birds are killed in the laboratories in the United States of America for biology lessons, medical training and curiosity-driven experiments.
What's next for Jacqueline Fernandez?
Jacqueline Fernandez is currently riding high on the success of her latest release 'Race 3'. The film also starred Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah, Saqib Saleem and Freddy Daruwala. The film was helmed by choreographer-turned-director Remo D'Souza and released on June 15, 2018. Meanwhile, Jacqueline is currently shooting for her upcoming venture 'Drive'. The action drama is a remake of the 2011 American film Drive which starred Ryan Gosling in the lead role. However, besides Jacqueline, the Bollywood remake also stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Vikramjeet Virk and Sapna Pabbi in pivotal roles. Scripted by Mast Ali, the flick will be directed by Tarun Mansukhani and will be produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions. 'Drive' was scheduled to release on September 7, 2018, but was postponed undisclosed reasons. However, the new date for the launch of the film is not revealed yet.
