Jayalalithaa biopic: Kangana Ranaut's film in trouble? Rangoli reacts

Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli Chandel took to her Twitter handle and rubbished the rumours of Jayalalithaa biopic being postponed & took a dig at movie mafia.

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is all set to essay the lead role in the upcoming biopic of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa but in a recent update by a leading tabloid, it has been reported that the movie has hit a roadblock and is postponed. Why, you may wonder? The report clarified that the film has not been able to raise 'the required funds'. Another reason quoted by the report was that it is because Tamil filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon also announced a project titled 'Queen' revolving around the late CM Jayalalithaa.

Squashing the reports in her own style, Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli Chandel took to her Twitter handle and clarified that there was no base to this rumour. She further took a dig at the "movie mafia of Bollywood" in her tweet. She wrote: "Wow!! There is no truth to this rumour, yeh hai movie mafia ki kartootein....humse bhi hamari films ke baare mein baat kar liya karo pls, humare dushmano pe karam aur hum pe sitam.... oh jane wafa yeh zulm na kar." The producer of the film Vishnu Induri also released a statement on the same on his Twitter handle. Read here -

What's next for Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut who recently appeared in 'Judgementall Hai Kya' opposite Rajkummar Rao, will next be seen in 'Panga' which has been directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari. Meanwhile, on the work front, Kangana's latest outing 'Judgementall Hai Kya' has hit theatres on July 26 and was widely appreciated by the audience and the critics. The film also starred Rajkummar Rao in the lead. Kangana Ranaut will be next seen in  Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's 'Panga' and acton film 'Dhaakad'.
