Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh was a blockbuster hit. It has turned out to be the most successful film of the year so far. The Kabir Singh Box Office India collection has been Rs. 2,76,30,50,000. The film gained Shahid Kapoor his first solo 200-crore plus movie. Apart from this, the film also impacted the overall collections of Ayushmann Khurrana’s Article 15 and Hrithik Roshan’s movie Super 30.
Kabir Singh got involved in a lot of controversies because of the role played by Shahid Kapoor, which was perceived as negative by the audience. The movie was accused of portraying misogynistic content on-screen. However, the negative publicity got Kabir Singh the attention of the viewers. Its negative publicity highly accelerated the box office collection of Kabir Singh and helped the overall growth of the movie.
Statistics suggest that Kabir Singh collected around Rs 133.13 Crores in its first week. The second week recorded earnings of Rs. 78.18 crores. In the third week, it managed to raise Rs 35.40 crores, followed by the fourth week with around Rs. 16.36 crores.
