Kangana Ranaut-Journalist spat escalates: Kangana's lawyer issues statement, warns "sincere journalists" about Entertainment Journalist Guild

While Balaji Telefilms on Wednesday apologised for Kangana Ranaut's spat with a PTI journalist during a promotional event, Kangana Ranaut refused to do so on Thursday. She released a 4 minute 36 seconds video clearing her stance on the 'anti-national' journalist and also attacked a section of media by calling them 'termites'.

And now, in the recent development, Kangana Ranaut's lawyer Rizwan Siddiquee has sent an official statement to the Guild. Read the letter below -

On Thursday, Kangana in the video said:

Hello friends, today, i want to tell you all something about our indian media but i would say that everywhere along with the good people, there are some bad people as well.

The way in which the media has encouraged me, they have always inspired me. I have met very good advisors and friends within the media. I would say that in someway or the other, they have majorly contributed to my success. I will always be thankful to them. But there are some people who are like 'termites', there is a certain section of the media who has been attached to our country like 'termite.' gradually that is affecting the dignity, identity, the country’s integrity, its unity, is being attacked by them everyday. Every other day it keeps on spreading false rumours.

They keep their filthy, disgusting and anti national opinions openly  in front of everyone. There is absolutely no provision, no penalty against them in our constitution. There is no punishment available for them as well. All this has made me very unhappy. So, i decided that this duplicate media, this purchasable media, which calls itself liberal, which calls itself secular, however, it is nothing, these people are not even 10th fail. These people are pseudo-liberals. They are not at all secular. Had they been secular, then they would never attack the country's unity using religious matters.

I met this one journalist, about 1 or 2 days ago, in a press conference. There are many people like him, there are many serious issues, many serious causes like world environment, i once campaigned for plastic ban, in that i along with isha yoga centre, performed many activities, i saw him making fun of this cause, then i campaigned against cow slaughter and against animal cruelty, he was making fun of that as well. Then i had done a film on a martyr, he was making fun of that too. The focus point is that they don't have any type of valid argument, logic, review or opinion. Something which is the right of every journalist, instead of   using this way, they use abusive language, they write filthy stuff, they make use of professional trolls and then for free food, they reach every press conference.

I want to know that, at least, there should be some criteria, if you are calling yourself a journalist. What have you done? Show me atleast any one of your written piece or blog. If i call myself an artist then there should be atleast something to prove my credit. Why do you call yourself a journalist? Why have you become a journalist even? These 3-4 people together, because i chose not to answer that man's questions, i thought why should i entertain an anti-national? I have zero percent tolerance of any type of anti-national. These 3-4 people together formed a guild against me, i think it has been formed yesterday itself. It does not have any significance.

It is not even important. Because of that guild they started threatening me. They say that they will ban me, they won't give me any coverage or they will destroy my career. You unworthy anti-nationalists, purchasable people, to buy you all, we don't even require lakhs of money, you people are so cheap, that you sell yourselves for 50-6o rupees. The ones who betray their own nation, the ones who are not loyal towards their own sources of livelihood, all you unworthy people, will you all destroy me? I have given your ancestors hard nuts to eat as well.

If i would have heard you people, you movie mafias, you pseudo journalists, then i would have not become india's top and highest paid actress. I fold my hands and plead in front of you, i say that, please ban me. I don't want that because of me you people earn something. This will be one of the biggest favour you will do on me. Please ban me.
