Kangana Ranaut who was last seen opposite actor Rajkummar Rao in the film Judgemental Hai Kya is currently prepping for her role of late actor and politician Jayalalithaa in her biopic titled Thalaivi. In interaction with the media in Coimbatore for the Cauvery Calling event, Kangana talked about her as the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and also revealed that Thalaivi will be a two-part film. Kangana Ranaut talks about Thalaivi
Kangana Ranaut is leaving no stone unturned for her next project Thalaivi. During a media interaction in Coimbatore, Kangana talked about Thalaivi becoming a franchise. During the interaction, Kangana stated that in the first part, the makers are trying to capture the life of Jayalalithaa between the ages of 16 to 40. Kangana also stated that the first part will mostly focus on her early life and the late actor’s rise in the Tamil film industry. The film will also focus on Jayalalithaa’s relationship with MG Ramchandranan and Karunanidhi. Thalaivi will also cover the angle of the late actor then becoming the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
Kangana further went on to state in the media interaction that the reception to the first film will then decide the workflow for the second film. The second part will then mostly focus on Jayalalithaa’s political career. Kangana Ranaut also talked about the intensive preparation that she doing for her role in Thalaivi. She was quoted saying by a report that she does not want to follow any shortcuts to play Jayalalithaa in Thalaivi. Currently, she is learning Tamil and working hard with the team of the film to get the look right.
Kangana Ranaut’s preparation can be also seen on her Instagram account handled by her team. Kangana has been taking Bharatanatyam lessons for the role of Jayalalithaa. The late politician was previously an actor and a highly acclaimed dancer. She also performed a Pooja on Vijay Dashami and received a pair of Ghungaroo from her guru on the auspicious occasion.
