Kangana Ranaut begins shooting for Jayalalitha biopic 'Thalaivi'
The producers of the Kangana Ranaut-starrer film, based on the life of late Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalitha, shared the news of commencing the shoot.
Kangana Ranaut-starrer Thalaivi based on the life of Tamil Nadu politician J Jayalalitha is one the most anticipated films of 2020. The makers of the film took to social media to announce the beginning of filming. A picture of a clapper-board with the name of the film and the start date as November 10 was posted by producer Shaailesh R Singh. He also captioned the post by stating that they were commencing on the beautiful journey of Thalaivi.

Kangana Ranaut has been in the news lately for her hardcore preparation for portraying politician J Jayalalitha on the big screen. The actor has been learning Tamil for her role as well as taking dance lessons to refine her performance as the late Tamil Nadu chief minister. Kangana is also going to use prosthetics for nailing the look of the stalwart politician. Reportedly Kangana Ranaut was in Los Angeles to work with Hollywood prosthetics expert, Jason Collins, of Captain Marvel fame, for the film. She had to undergo fittings of prosthetics to get into the character of the beloved late South Indian politician.

What's next for Kangana Ranaut?
On the work front, after the release of Manikarnika this year, Kangana will feature in Ashwini Iyer Tiwari's Panga. The movie is based on the story of a National-level Kabaddi player and is slated to release on January 24, 2020. She will be essaying the role of a Kabbadi player alongside Richa Chadha, Pankaj Tripathi and Neena Gupta. She will also be seen in Razneesh Ghai's Dhaakad opposite Mimoh Chakravarty.
