Karan Johar reviews Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Zero', says it's a must watch

The much anticipated Bollywood venture 'Zero' starring Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma marked a grand release on Friday, December 21. Following the same,  Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar reviewed the film and unlike many critics, he gave a thumbs up to the film. 

Mentioning the film is a 'must watch' Karan Johar shared a positive review of the film on Twitter that widely lauded Shah Rukh Khan for his performance in the movie. In the post, he said that Shah Rukh stands up to his title of being the 'king of romance' and his intense acting in the film deserves huge appreciation. Talking about Anushka Sharma he said that she has efficiently managed to portray the 'challenging part', as she played the role of a NASA scientist suffering Cerebral palsy.

Sharing the short and crisp review, he wrote, ZERO is a must watch for the towering performance of @iamsrk who proves that he is truly the bonafide king of intense romance! He also widely praised Katrina Kaif for her acting in the film and marked it as her career's best performance. In the Twitter post, he said, "And..#KatrinaKaif gives us her career best performance!! As a damaged superstar she throws caution and body language to the winds and gives us her most heartfelt and believable performance! She shines and makes you root for her!!"

The Aanand L. Rai directorial revolves around a vertically challenged man named Bauua Singh (played by SRK), who dreams of dating a superstar (Katrina). The project is scripted by Himanshu Sharma and jointly produced by the director, Gauri Khan and Karuna Badwal. 'Zero' received mixed responses from the viewers. While many praised the film for the performance of the actors and the unique content of the film, a lot of them have also criticized it for having no storyline.
