This is not the first time when Karan Johar brought together all the big stars under one roof. Last year too, the director's Instagram photo featured Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt in one frame.

Meanwhile, Karan Johar will don the hat of a director with his upcoming magnum opus, ‘Takht’, which includes an ensemble star cast — Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Janhvi Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Anil Kapoor. Talking about the same, Karan Johar in an interview said that he is both excited and nervous as directing a period drama is a new terrain for him. He also said: "I will shoot Takht in the 40th year of Dharma Productions." Talking about the movie, Karan said it is a "period saga and has all the trappings of a spectacle, but it’s a family film at heart, which strongly revolves around the familial emotions."
