Kareena Kapoor Khan to unveil trophies of T20 World Cup in Melbourne

Kareena Kapoor Khan will be unveiling the trophies of the T20 World Cup. Kareena will be a part of this unveiling ceremony at Melbourne on November 1, 2019. The World Cup will be held next year in Australia. It will be both for the men’s as well as the women’s cricket teams.

According to a report in IANS, the actor said that she will be honoured to be a part of the prestigious evening. Kareena added that she would like to encourage the women who are playing for their countries to pursue their dreams. She said that she feels truly empowered to see these women in cricket standing tall on an international platform.

On this occasion, Kareena remembered her late father-in-law and Saif Ali Khan’s father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. She talked about how Mansoor Ali Khan was one of the greatest cricketers of the Indian cricket team. She added that this makes it a bigger honour for her to be unveiling this trophy.

The women’s T20 World Cup will be starting on February 21 and will go on till March 8. The men’s team will play the World Cup from October 18 to November 15. Cricket fans are excited as both events are highly anticipated throughout the participating countries.
