She is one of the most popular actors in Bollywood. 19 years after her debut, Kareena continues to be regarded as one of the biggest celebrities in the industry. Kareena Kapoor Khan made her debut in acting with Refugee in 2000, starring opposite Amitabh Bachchan. She is also a style icon and a celebrated mom. Kareena always has received positive response from critics for her performances. However, some of her films perhaps did not do as well at the box office as one may have expected. Chameli (2004)

Chameli is a female-driven film that talks about the life of female sex-workers. Kareena Kapoor is seen playing the titular character, an innocent and strong-minded girl who is forced into prostitution. Her character speaks broken English and somehow has made peace with her destiny. The movie also stars Rahul Bose as one of the leads.

Yuva (2004)

Yuva is regarded as one of Kareena's best works. The movie revolves around the lives of Michael, Arjun, and Lallan. Three men from three different strata of society cross paths one morning in Calcutta and change one another's lives forever. These three men are played by Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, and Vivek Oberoi. Kareena Kapoor Khan plays the love interest of Vivek Oberoi.

Kurbaan (2009)

Kurbaan is Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan’s debut as a couple. Kareena plays Avantika Ahuja, a university professor with US citizenship. Saif Ali Khan plays Ehsan Khan, who marries her in order to get a US visa. The couple settles overseas after their marriage and within days of their shift, Avantika finds that her neighbours are terrorists, and her husband is not who he claims to be. The film was a commercial success and received positive reviews from most critics.
