Kareena Kapoor-Ranveer Singh's quirky snap makes Takht more exciting

Quirky is Ranveer Singh’s middle name. The actor once again showed how this familiar facet of his at a recent fashion awards show. Not just was he the most uniquely dressed, but he also had interesting ways to pose for the cameras. Even on stage, there were funny moments with Anushka Sharma and others. Another fun moment during the event was a photograph with Kareena Kapoor Khan that is going viral. The latter is seen almost showing a ‘fed up’ expression, as if it were his antics that were responsible.

At the Elle Beauty Awards on Saturday, Ranveer Singh was dressed in a black suit, colourful shirt inside, a hat and black sunglasses. The interesting bit is that he also carried a stick with him. With the moustache he has grown, it could be considered as the perfect tribute to Charlie Chaplin. Since he is playing the role of Kapil Dev in the film based on the 1983 World Cup win, he ensured that there were cricketing shots on display at the event. 

As the action continued inside, one of the best moments was when his Band Baaja Baraat co-star Anushka Sharma told him that he was not the host when he tried to ask her about success.

While that video went viral, a photograph with Kareena too is achieving the same response. In the snap, Kareena looks ‘irritated’, in a fun way, with Ranveer’s histrionics as he holds the stick and tries to catch her attention. Another fun fact is that Ranveer and Kareena are all set to work in Takht, it’d be interesting to see how this chemistry will work out when the film goes on floors. Since the movie is a period drama set during the time of Mughals, one can definitely not expect such moments, but behind the scenes, it can happen for sure.

Takht is Karan Johar’s return to full-fledged direction after almost three years since his Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Takht also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar. The movie is expected to go on floors at the start of 2020 and release the same year
