Karwa Chauth: Virat Kohli and Aushka Sharma celebrate the day together
Indian actor & film producer, Anushka Sharma with her husband Virat Kohli celebrated the festival of Karwa Chauth, as they both fasted, on Thursday, Oct 17.

Indian actor and film producer, Anushka Sharma along with her husband Virat Kohli celebrated Karwa Chauth on Thursday, October 17. Traditionally, this festival is celebrated by fasting; during Karwa Chauth a married woman fasts for the whole day until she sees the moon in the night. Making positive disruptions in the age-old traditions the famous couple took to social media and declared that both of them were fasting during the festival. The couple tied the knot in 2017 with a lavish wedding in Italy.

Both Anushka and Virat took to Instagram and Twitter and posted similar pictures with different captions, indicative of the bond between them. India’s cricket team captain, Virat Kohli in his caption wrote, "The ones who fast together laugh together". On the other hand, Anushka Sharma in her caption said, “My partner for a lifetime & beyond and my fasting partner for the day". The picture displayed Anushka dressed in a red saree and heavy Indian jewellery, whereas, Virat was wearing a black kurta.

Virat Kohli was recently seen extending compliments to his wife Anushka Sharma at an event in Delhi. During this event, the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) unveiled a new pavilion stand at the Feroz Shah Kotla and named it after Indian captain Virat Kohli on September 12. After he thanked her wife during his speech the crowd gave him a big loud cheer at the stadium. Anushka Sharma was seen smiling as she took to the front row seat at the Felicitation ceremony.
Virat Kohli also recently shared how he felt after first meeting Anuska Sharma. He said they met at a commercial shoot for the first time, where they were talking about things that a lot of people do not connect with. They connected on similar interests and experiences. Virat said they come from middle-class families, made it in their respective careers, worked hard, got to a certain stage. They even began their careers in 2008. With so many common factors between them, they connected immediately.
